Telling Tales

In a small village in the Himalayan Mountains, religious leaders and villagers trade stories as currency. The leader uses legends about snow leopards to stress lessons on keeping the endangered animals safe. In return, the villagers trade legends of a bird that harms monks when they travel–stressing the importance of killing certain species to survive. All of this is a subtle negotiation that straddles life and death. It is a lesson in diplomacy, belief, and cultural respect.

Stories can change the world; this is only one bit of proof.

I love stories and all the means of imparting them: from art, photography, and design to writing and good old fashioned fireside talk. I’ve dedicated my life to honing the skills to tell great stories.

Let me tell one for you–or help you tell yours.
